The main activities of NSS unit are Plantation, Blood donation camp, Services at orphanages and old age homes, Road safety, Anti ragging squads, Medical camps in villages, Environmental awareness and programs, Service to physically and mentally challenged people, issue of Voter ID cards to students and staff, First aid training to students and staff, Fire fighting mock drills.
The students have actively participated and the number of students enrolled is 50 from various departments
NSS unit aims at arousing a social consciousness of the youth with an overall objective of personality development of the students through community service.

The motto of the National Service Scheme is 'NOT ME BUT YOU'. This reflects the essence of democratic living and upholds the need for selfless service It shows that the welfare of an individual is ultimately dependent on the welfare of society on the whole.
The NSS symbol is embossed on the NSS badge. The eight bars represent 24 hrs of the day. It reminds to be in readiness for service of the nation. The Red colour indicates the active energey and high spirit. The navy blue colour indicates the contribution shared for the welfare of the mankind.
NSS was formally launched on 24th September, 1969, the birth centenary year of the Father of the Nation. Therefore, 24 September is celebrated every year as NSS Day with appropriate programmes and activities.
Blood donation , Traffic Awareness Programme , Legal Literacy Programme on Anti Ragging , Orientation Programme for NSS Volunters and etc
Camps are conducted annually. These activities are fully funded by the Government of India. Such camps are usually located in a rural village or in suburbs. Volunteers may be involved in activities such as
|3||Stage shows or Procession creating awareness on social problems, education, cleanliness etc.|
|4||Inviting doctors for health camps.|
|5||Arranging Blood Donation camps.|
There are no pre-defined or pre-assigned tasks. It is left to the volunteers to provide service to society in any way that is feasible. Camps typically last between a week to ten days. Camps for shorter periods are also conducted.
